Whipley Manor has been a family owned 300 acre farm since 1920.

It was run as a mixed farm and grew wheat, barley and oats with a a herd of beef cattle and a dairy cow to provide the family with fresh milk. The farm has also always produced fine quality meadow hay.

During the 60s and 70s pedigree Large White pigs were introduced to the farm. The herd was in the top 20 nucleus (blood line) of breeding herds in the country. They were exported around the world to improve existing herds and sold at the old Guildford market. Later a flock of 400 sheep was added and were also taken to the local market on a regular basis.

In the early 1980s Whipley Manor Farm began to diversify and started selling small quantities of animal feed from the "Old Farm Shop" to local people. As demand increased the farm opened a much larger feed store, which has grown significantly and is today a thriving business and has become a major supplier of equine and small holder feeds in the area.

Throughout the years we have continued to grow the same cereals although we now include linseed and oilseed rape.

There are several other businesses located in the old farm buildings.

Taurus Wines is an independent wine merchant, with an award-winning range that specialises in supplying wines and Champagnes for celebrations and parties.

The Manor Saddlery is a supplier of top quality English saddlery and bridle work and offers a full repair service.

Country Pictures offers art classes, demonstrations, picture framing, gallery exhibitions and workshops. Crafts and gifts are for sale. They also offer children's art workshop birthday parties. The gallery is available to hire.

In the future it is our intention to continue the restoration of the remaining farm buildings, some of which are over 500 years old, with the aim of encouraging new rural enterprises and conserving our heritage.

We look forward to continuing to serve the local community and welcome you to come and visit our farm shop.
